I enjoy teaching a great deal. I love children, and believe every child has the capacity to succeed. My job is not only to give children the content knowledge, but to build their self-esteem and help them realize their own potential. In my experience, students who lack self-esteem often perform poorly in school, even if they know the material. My job is to build their self image while giving them the skills they need to excel.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have served as the 6th grade lead teacher at Rolling Acres Edison. I teach full inclusion science and social studies by integrating math and reading skills. I am responsible for leading daily team meetings concerning student data. Together we use monthly online diagnostic testing to ensure student success on state mandated tests. As a team leader, I meet bi-weekly with our school's leadership team. I developed and implemented an RTI model used by the 5th and 6th grade teams at Rolling Acres in an effort to increase reading benchmark scores of struggling readers.
