I work well with children and adults alike. I enjoy the challenge of finding the perfect explanation for each individual that I works with their personal thought processes (as everyone thinks about things a little differently - that is the challenge of teaching). I believe that helping a person discover solutions through their own mental path is the best way to help them discover a long-lasting understanding of a subject. A Little Bit About Me...

Since finishing my degree and teaching credential progam I have been teaching full time for the last 12 years. I was a tenured teacher in Atascadero teaching all subjects 3-8 from 1998-2001. I am currently teaching in Paso Robles and have been since 2001. I have taught at Flamson Middle School and now teach at Liberty Continuation High School. I primarily teach English and computers but have a Multiple Subject Credential and can easily teach Prealgebra.
I love what I do for a living. I love teaching and coaching and have always wanted to be a teacher. I believe all childeren can learn given the opportunity. I believe students have their own unique intelligences and learning styles. My teaching follows the experiential learning paradigm with a focus on utilizing the student’s inherent creative skills in order to relate information and pursue skill attainment and enhancement. The tutoring will be very “hands-on” for the student during the sessions, getting them to actively participate in a learning atmosphere by targeting multiple skill-sets, modes of learning, and intelligences. The top priority is providing an educational “experience,” rather than just relaying information, in order to help youth grow as humans, as well as students.
