I graduated from Brigham Young University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education. Prior to getting married, I worked for nine years in public schools in Utah and California. Since 1991, I have worked an additional nine years in public and private schools from elementary through high school as a Resource Specialist. I strive to include various learning styles when working with children. Some students learn best by listening or writing, while others need movement or tactile experiences to help in comprehension. I believe in keeping students engaged at all times, to minimize wasted time. Every child has potential. A teacher just has to know how to reach each child, and that happens when the students builds trust with the teacher. I have taught music in public education for the last 15 years. I have been involved in church music ministry for over 25 years, and currently am the church pianist in Stockton, Ca. I love working with children of all ages.
