I taught for ten semesters at Purdue University while working on my Ph.D. I was responsible for all aspects of the classes that I taught, including class preparation and syllabus design. My experience there also gave me excellent training in English pedagogy. I have also taught as an adjunct instructor in the English department of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Currently I am an assistant professor of English at the University of South Carolina-Aiken. My teaching responsibilities include first-year composition, English grammar, rhetorical grammar, introduction to human language, the history of English, and classes in medieval English literature.

I am a doctor of philosophy from a top ten university, Emory. I have fifteen years teaching experience from grades K through college undergraduates. One of my two required doctoral languages was Latin, which I have taught full-time in public and private high school settings for several years. I have also taught philosophy, English grammar, mathematics, AP history, AP government and welding. Incidentally, I also have extensive trades teaching and work experience. I have extremely strong writing and verbal skills. I am a classically educationed man, deeply learned in the great literary and philosophical works of the West, including the Bible.
