My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I've had three students who were diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and two students whom I felt were ADD/ADHD. Its very difficult for students with this diagnosis to concentrate in class let alone in an environment with too much stimulation. Because of this, I have experienced tutoring such students and understand the importance of stimulating them with motivational educational games as well as giving lots of breaks to rest their minds.

I have taught elementary children, grades kindergarten through the fifth grade for three years overseas. I have also tutored for over four years. I was the head kindergarten teacher, phonics and reading teacher. I oversaw the kindergarten teachers, reviewed curriculum for each semester and school events. The subjects I have experience teaching are but not limited to phonics, reading, math, vocabulary and social studies.
I am a very outgoing and energetic but patient teacher. I will often push my student beyond what they believe they are capable of. For example, my lowest kindergarten class by the end of the fourth semester was reading second grade level books and worksheets. I received my certification to be a Secondary English Teacher in Jan of 2012 and have kept it up to date since.
