I love children and I love teaching them. I believe in an individualized style of teaching that caters to a child's individual needs. Because I love teaching, I am a patient and caring teacher. I believe every child can learn, and implement a way of learning around that belief. I like to make a difference and "see the light come on". When it does, I know I have done my job. Following my graduation from USM, I had many experiences teaching a variety of children from many cultures. Having taught in a DODDS school in Karlsruhe, Germany I was exposed to the German way of teaching. My first year of teaching was in an inner city school thar offered many challengs. I believe my experience teaching children from diverse backgrounds prepared me to handle any situation in the teaching environment.

My teaching skills are excellent I'm ery creative when it comes down to learning. I love working with children and I will always remember my main goal "NO Children Left Behind". Reason for me saying that is every child deserve a chance. As a Tougaloo graduate, I have had plenty hands on experiences with children. I've tutored children mostly all my life. I also did practicium and observation with children. I have my degree in Early Childhood Development but most of all I've been a substitute working with middle school children. I've tutored in all sections like reading, elementary math, spelling, as well as english and I enjoy doing it all.

I have been working with young children since 2005. I started as a pre-school teacher with ages 3-5. For the past five years I have worked as an elementary school Teacher's Assistant. It was there when I got the most of my experience in classroom management and actually how to teach all children with different learning styles. I worked with grades second, pre-K, fifth, and first. I just recently graduated from Jackson State Unversity and I am currently teaching for HCHRA-Project Head Start. My classroom consists of 3, 4, and 5 year olds. I love working with elementary level aged children because it allows me the chance to help perpare them for the cahllenges ahead. It brings me great joy working with all types of children.
