I have over 20 years of experience using the Wilson Reading Program in schools and at-home settings. I have amassed a host of additional teaching materials to help children learn to read who struggle with dyslexia. I also stress reading fluency and use techniques to foster a more fluent reader. As a parent of a child with dyslexia (who is now in college),I can empathsize and offer support to parents. A Little Bit About Me...

As a creative writing major at school, i was an avid member of our newspaper, serving as copy editor. When i graduated college i continued my summer job as a technical writer at an engineering company. My last position was also an assistant technical writer. Both positions required knowledge of AP style, extreme detail to grammar and an ability to write different styles. After school in between finding career positions, i briefly tutored and substitued as a paraprofessional in the nearby school district. I graduate May 2009 from Simmons College with a BS in Biochemistry. My courses taken during my undergraduate career were heavily focused in the sciences. I’ve taken upper level chemistry, physics, biology, and math courses. I tutored a student in zoology for a brief period of time. I was also a teaching assistant for Organic Chemistry I and II labs.
