I have always loved numbers and they are my passion. As a student at FMCC I was able to pursue my goal and assist others along the way. Tutoring should be a tool used to complement traditional education. When tutoring there is little help in providing information to the student the same way that the teacher presents it. Tutors may also fall into the trap of simply giving the student the answers. For these reasons I prefer an holistic approach to tutoring. Every student is different and they all have different ways of understanding the material. I have always loved mathematics and during high school I knew I wanted to work with children. During my senior year of high school I completed the Regional Program of Excellence through BOCES. This experience made me determine that becoming a teacher was what I wanted to do. I attended Siena College from September of 2005 until May of 2009. I am currently working on my Master's Degree at Utica College in their Leadership and Instruction in Inclusive Classrooms program.
