My style is to teach a concept during the one on one session with me. I then give them homework to reinforce the learning on personal time. In the following meeting I revise what we learnt in previous session to ensure they understood before proceeding to next topic. I noticed that most of my American friends could operate a computer fairly well but could not solve simple math problems like Algebra or Trigonometry.
