have a BA and teaching degree. I can teach social Studies, English Grammar, reading, Italian Latin and Spanish. I have taught 7th and 8th graders. I prefer teaching at the Warren, public library and most interested in helping students to learn and to make progress kn language course, Spanish, Italian or Spanish. My approach to tutoring is to try to be as hands-off as possible. By this I mean that I will not "fix" papers, nor will I write directly on a student's paper if it can be helped. I want to help the student in their problem areas by showing them examples of an area (thesis statement, grammar, citations)that needs improvement and then working with them so that they will know how to address the problem in the future. I also find that often tutors do their best work while acting as "sounding-boards" for their students; listening to the student (as each student has different needs)and then offering suggestions and ideas on how to approach difficulties.
