I have taugh for 35 years in Pinellas County Schools. I have taught Marketing, History, Geography, Reading, Journalism, Computer Education, Creative Writing, Interpretive Reading, Advertising, World Cultures, and Economics. I am certified in Social Studies, Business Education, Marketing Education, and working with Gifted Students. Once while subbing, I entered a classroom where the students had been allowed to watch Jerry Springer on TV for the last two weeks. I couldn't let this continue, but I saw how emotional the class was about the show. I encouraged them to write their own talk show and told them we would perform it the next day.
