My name is McCrae Mower, and I am currently a sophomoere at Minnetonka High School. I have been involved with tutoring for the last two years. I am part of an activity called "Backpack Tutoring." This program is a weekly volunteer experience to travel to an elementary school in Downtown Minneapolis. The program helps me to tutor students in grades K-5. Tutoring Advantage was founded by Joan Robertson in 2006. Joan is a licensed teacher, trained in the Orton-Gillingham method and specializes in Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and learning disabilities. Joan attended Bemidji State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a math emphasis in November 1992. In May of 1992 she completed her kindergarten student teaching and kindergarten intercultural course work at Vaxjo University in Sweden.
