My method of teaching is to take difficult concepts and break them down into something that is understandable. I will not quit until I feel that the children have a good grasp of the material. There are few things more rewarding then seeing it all "click." I like to use diagrams and real life situations to explain subjects. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching methods are rather basic. I respect the student, and I encourage the student. I have found that reward goes much farther than ridicule or punishment when motivating a student to believe in themselves, and thus excel. I also teach the importance of information. What I mean by that, is that I teach the student why the information they are learning is relevant to the real world, I don't teach to a test. As an educator, I strive to improve the student's study habits, test taking skills and overall understanding of the subject. I am patient and encourage questions from the student. Also, I believe that "hands on" practice is the best way to really learn a subject. I like to break things down into smaller parts and let the student practice and grasp each concept instead of just showing them how to do it. In 1999, I left and began teaching middle school where I have been since. During my time, I have taught 6-8th grade science, 6-8th grade social studies, 6th and 7th grade math, and 6th through high school credit enginering under the Project Lead the Way program.
