Probably my greatest gift that I've been given in this life is my love for people. I believe this love manifests itself through my teaching and makes me a unique educator. I believe in the Socratic Method. Through this tutoring method, the student is asked questions to help them develop understanding on their own. Through this discovery style, the students actually learn in ways that will be remembered most. I believe that any child, teenager, or adult can learn most effectively through their own discovery, with my help and guidance. I believe in having "ah-ha!" moments, and the feeling of relief and excitement when connections are made, and learning happens. That's what I want for my students.
My degree consists of two areas of emphases: English and the Humanities, with a minor in Dance. A Little Bit About Me...

I received high scores on the PSAT and ACT while in high school. I can provide proof of these if necessary. I received a 31 on the ACT (I would need to verify this, but I believe it is correct). I can teach students how to prepare for any test, including the ACT, GMAT, and SAT. I graduated from BYU Idaho in the top 5% of my class. I taught an intro class for incoming freshmen for 1 credit hour. I taught a LEED test prep class with 100% pass rate for all attendees. I have done informal tutoring in math, and I have received As in all math classes up to Calculus I. I have taught dance and art classes to pre-k and elementary children. I have given piano lessons and trained for 13 years.
