I have spent the last three year being a nanny and tutor for kids in a variety of age groups. I have worked with all kinds of kids including special needs children, group home kids, High school students in AP classes, and Dyslexic children. My comments on tutoring Special Education : I have a vast amount of experience in teaching special education students in grades k-12.

I have worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant for the past 8 years. I am currently attending school to become a special education teacher. I have experience teaching many different students from various grade levels and have tracked their academic progression. I have ran several reading and math interventions for my school sites for kindergarten through 8th grade.
Interactive modeling of examples, repetition, and simplifying subject matter are key components of my teaching style. Many students have difficulty relating to academic material due the lack being given time to practice example assignments. I also teach universal strategies of how to study material to fully understand assignments.
