Currently, I hold certifications in both Early Childhood Education and Childhood Education 1-6. This summer (2010), I will also be receiving my Master’s in Reading and obtaining an additional certification in Literacy. I have taught children in kindergarten and first, third, and fifth grades. While at West Chester University, I had to take Statistics and Probability and that was because I was in the excelled Math program in high school. I had all Math courses up to and including Advanced Algebra. While attending Adirondack Community College, I had to take a Medical Math course that covered many conversions.
I love teaching and working with children and adults. I, myself have achieved a high level of excellence in education by completing two degrees and plan on completing my BS in Nursing. Having received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Cornell University and the University of California in the area of physical science (Atmospheric Science), I have attained a high level of knowledge in multiple areas ranging from Math and Science (particularly Physics) as well as Chemistry and Biology. In addition, while at Cornell University I earned a Minor in Communications focusing on both Written and Oral Communication. During graduate school I completed two six-month internships working full time in the classroom. I have spent the past three years as a substitute teacher in local schools.
