In 1995, I began my official tutoring odyssey by assisting my classmates in AP Calculus. Every day during lunch I spent my half-hour helping my fellow high school seniors succeed, ultimately achieving a 4/5 on the AP exam and guiding others to similar grades. I graduated from Duke University in 2009 with a triple-major in Biomedical Engineering, Economics, and Mathematics. I have tutored in Economics and spent four years mentoring middle-schools students in Engineering as a Techtronics Fellow.
I have never been someone who "just gets it" when it comes to math or science, and so I understand more than many people who pursued degrees in these subjects just how puzzling they can be.
