A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching all types of Mathematics for 30 years from Elementary up to college. Presently, I am a full time high school math teacher teaching Algebra I and II and AP Calculus. This includes teaching students who are going to take ASVAB and SAT exams. I have been chose teacher of the year several years. For a long period of time, I have a very close to 100 percent passing Standard of Learning math Test including Ap Calculus College Exam. I am a recent honors graduate of the Virginia Military Institute with a degree in civil and environmental engineering. This course of academic study exposed me to a broad range of upper-level mathematics, physics, and chemistry. During my college career I volunteered with a mentoring program known as Big Brother/ Big Sister to tutor elementary school students, and I also privately tutored fellow college students in Calculus I.

I have spent several years as a student and tutor at the university level. I am planning to enter medical school in the Fall of 2012 and as such have developed a strong foundation in the sciences throughout my undergraduate education.
