I am a high school senior and I have received straight-A's every year. I have taken math classes up to the multivariable calculus level and have scored in the top percentiles on every standardized math test I have taken. I have also done very well in science, particularly in biology where I have received A's in two college level biology courses, scored an 800 (a perfect score) on the Biology SAT II, and a 5 (a perfect score) on the AP Biology exam. I was lucky to have had excellent teachers in school. Whenever I see students struggle, I want to show them a way by which they can understand the concept. I do feel with some effort and reiteration, students can understand and grow in confidence. The reason most of them find a subject difficult is because they don't understand it. Once they start understanding, they will experience a joy when they get a problem right. With time, this will translate into a love for the subject.
I worked as a Graduate Assistant when I completed my Ph.D. I have helped my daughters with their studies in school after that. My older daughter is now in college.
