Teaching has been something I have done a great deal of my life no matter what path I was on. When I was in nursing school, patient teaching was a strong point of mine. I love children. A Little Bit About Me...

Since the age of six I have studied classical piano, recently finishing my piano studies at the bachelors degree level. I am currently finishing a general education science course and will receive my official diploma in August. I have taught many students from home as well as in a studio at a local music shop, on campus, and at churches. Teaching and accompanying soloists; instrumentalists, vocalists,choirs, and bands have been most of my work experience since graduating highschool six years ago. As a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, I began my teaching career in mathematics at the junior high school level. I taught Algebra I to eighth graders. While teaching, I returned to school and received my M.Ed as a Reading Specialist. After working in that area for a few years, I became an inner city high school principal. I remained in that capacity for approximately twenty years. I was searching for a new challenge and joined the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to administer an AmeriCorp grant called Smart Start for Brain Gain 2010.
