A Little Bit About Me...

I have a BS is Mathematics, which has given me the knowledge and confidence to teach various levels of Mathematics. I have participated in research programs which have given me a thorough understanding of how to prepare research papers. During the last decade I have taught and tutored in mathematics, reading, and study skills with a high level of success in my students. I have taught and tutored from first grade through first year college levels, mostly sixth through twelfth. As a Microsoft Office Master Instructor I taught MS Office applications, as well as basic VBA programming and Project Management to adults of all experience levels. My teaching style is one of discipline and at the same time hands-on. Students must feel the relevance of the world around them in order to gain an understanding of what's being taught. I work with the individual but never let the focus off of the competition that's waiting. Students must understand that learning is an every day, every moment experience. It's all about how they see the world around them. I love teaching and working with children. The "aha" moment is what I live for. I believe that EVERY student can achieve what they set their mind to with guidance and persistence.
In a nutshell, I taught high school English for eleven years. I am passionate about all facets of education in the classroom and the real world. I have much to offer my students whether it be a love of literature, grammar and vocabulary or life itself! I love to teach.
