My method is to help the student become an active learner will eventually be able to learn independently. Although I am capable of giving a lecture about a subject, I tend not to lecture students because they often become bored and uninvolved. Instead, I ask questions and involve the student in any way possible. I also like to praise students for their work. I also like to make learning fun by using visual examples and metaphors.
