I have been tutoring French and Subbing in some area schools as Bancroft in Worcester, MA from 1st grade to high school level. and 7th and 8th grade in Princeton, MA. I am a professional at what I do and believe that a second language opens opportunity to the world.
I emphasize on taking few notes but helpful ones. Speaking and listening is my main focus. Students needs to be able to communicate. Using the vocabulary in real world situations is the key, not just in the context of the chapter of the book. I have taught all grade levels but at the present time, I am teaching middle school. I have my own hands-on style in the classroom and prefer that method with the students that I tutor. Inevitably I need to teach the content required by the students' classroom teacher and have to fall back on traditional teaching methods in order to have the student become current in what is being learned at school. I am in favor of utilizing the computer as a learning tool as well as the required textbook.
