I have been working in Special Education for ten years, four years as a tutor at Nashoba Regional High School and six years as a teacher. I have earned my Masters + 30 in my field. When I started teaching, I was working with students with emotional/behavioral disabilties at Fitchburg High School, but for the past four years I have been working at Leominster High School as a math inclusion teacher in the Algebra I and Geometry classes. I have experience tutoring students in Geometry and other subjects as well outside of school, for I have been tutoing for various districts for at least nine years.
I generally work with students with special needs in the regular education classes. I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts and Elementary Education Certification from Wheaton College in May 2000. After graduation, I moved to Cheshire England and taught for a year and a half. I then completed a fast track program offered by Manchester Metropolitan University to gain Qualified Teaching Status in 2002 and taught Year One in a government school. When my contract was up I accepted a job at The Meridian School, a small international school, in Nassau, Bahamas. I enjoyed my time at the Meridian School but relocated back to the United States for more opportunities and advancements.
