My comments on tutoring VB.net : Visual Basic is a complete, easy to use programming language. VB is structured around forms in which the programmer can visually include components such as buttons, combo boxes and list boxes. This components initiate actions which in many cases only require simple code. Visual basic Macros and Subroutines can be used within the context of applications such as Excel, Access or Word, This can greatly increase their functionality and simplify operations by automating actions.

I found that personal tutoring in computer subjects is very effective because it concentrates only on the subjects that are important to the student, uses a PC or laptop specially set for him, proceeds at his own pace, has the teacher’s undivided attention and allows a flexible timetable. Learning about computers is a hand on experience.
I have many years’ experience as an Industrial Engineer and Management Consultant applying Excel, Power Point, Word, Access and Visual Basic to analyze data and prepare Management Reports in areas such as Procurement, Inventories, Manufacturing, MRP, Standard Cost, Sales and Distribution. My style has always been minimum lecturing by the instructor and almost exclusive execution by the student. This is achieved by the students' questioning and attempting to answer their own question, resembling a Socratic Method. This method through experience, has proved far more effective in both one-on-one and classroom situations, than other alternatives.
My main claim of experience is in my field of expertise. I was the inventor, developer and subsequent supporter of my own product, which was the basis for the Company I managed and owned for many years. In that capacity I was perpetually involved in the training of new clients as well as the Company's own personnel.
