This an effective method because it allows me to interact with the student and help them grow more efficiently while holding an open discussion environment in each lesson. I then reinforce it with practice based assignments which are followed up with reviews in the beginning of the following class. I work as a civil engineer and geophysicist. I would have to say that during my internship my teaching style was visual and audible teaching. I would make PowerPoint presentations, explain them, and work through them with my students. When tutoring math I would take my student step by step through example problems and then allow them to complete their own work under my supervision.
