A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style varies upon subject and student.
I graduated from Jefferson High School in the spring of 2012. I now attend Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne. I have two younger siblings and 4 younger step-siblings that I have helped with their homework, or helped them better understand material assigned to them. Their ages range from 8-17. I know how to explain certain subjects in multiple ways to ensure that eventually the student will understand the material. I am very patient, and I understand that some people learn at slower rates than others. I am majoring in nursing, though I considered teaching English before making this decision. I love teaching, and am looking to make some extra money for things I need while in college.

As a graduate of Purdue University's School of Liberal Arts, I have been provided with a well-rounded education consisting of a variety of subjects. My degree is in Psychology, with minors in English and Religious Studies. Since graduating from Purdue in 2004, I have worked in social work, child care, and education. Now I focus on tutoring and freelance writing which both allow me to schedule my own time and explore my personal hobbies.

A Little Bit About Me...

I like to work one-on-one with students. I can get a better feel for their learning style and therefore teach for that specific student. I like to teach by relating the subject to real life situations. All students can learn anything, it just sometimes takes a more personal approach before it really clicks. That is what I want to provide for a student.
I graduated Cum Laude from Ball State with a double major in Visual Communication and Genetics. Both my parents were teachers and I often tutored my friends. I have always loved school and find that I miss it at times. Because of that I jump at the chance to help those who need it. I college I helped other students who had math and physics classes. I have learned the skills that I needed to both learn and remember and have helped others to do so also.
