I began my French career roughly ten years ago. I knew that French would be at the very center of my existence. Therefore, I decided to dedicate my studies to the language. I even wound up living in France for over a year. I lived in Paris for six months and Montpellier for the rest of the year. It was one of the best experiences of my life; it truly taught me what it means to speak and to understand French, which is why I have made it my goal to aide others in understanding the oftentimes difficult language.

My comments on tutoring French : I lived for 10 years in France, near Paris. I taught for 2 years at a school in Paris and after moving to the US, I taught French at all levels .

I taught German for 15 years in Public as well as Private schools in North Carolina. I am a native German speaker and received my teaching degree in Germany with a major in German. Besides teaching in my native country, I also taught German to French students ( 2 years) while living in the suburbs of Paris for 10 years. After my move to the US I first taught French for several years in a charter school before the school added German as a Foreign Language besides French and Spanish. My experience of teaching German covers all grade levels including elementary , middle school as well as High School, grades 9-12. including AP German. I received the 2013 National German teacher award for NC !!

I know what it takes to teach and learn a foreign language because I am fluent in French. I was inspired by watching the great teachers that I had in high school and college. I have taught English as a second language, so I have classroom experience to add to my general knowledge of the language and culture.

I enjoy teaching and interacting with children. I believe every child possesses the potential to learn anything. All they have to do is work for that knowledge. Rather than tell the student the answer, I find a way to allow the student to discover the answer him or herself. One way how I do this is by asking the pupil smaller leading questions in order to put the pieces of the bigger picture together.
