I am a graduate of Northeast State Community College. I am currently attending East Tennessee State University in pursuit of a BA in English with a minor in Education. I have been working with students form ages 5 to 14 yrs. in age for 2+ years. I like to give intruction and then give the student tools and resources to help them find their answers. I am a firm believer in using real life scenarios and showing students how information is applied to real life.

Range

My teaching style varies depending on the students I am teaching. It consists of lecture notes, handouts, exams and quizes and games such as Jeopardy. I believe that all students have the ability to learn and grow as individuals. It is my job as the teacher to make learning both enjoyable and educational. My main goal in education is to make a difference in the lives of the students I teach. I have been involved with education for roughly the past five years, spending 2 as a substitute teacher, 2.5 as a Middle and High School Social Studies teacher and 0.5 as an Adult Education Instructor.
