My comments on tutoring Elementary : I can problem solve and work with the student, many different ways, until we come up with a strategy that "clicks" with them.

Obtuse; willing to think outside of the box to get the student interested, even, excited to learn.
I have tutored fellow classmates in HS. I've taught my nieces and nephew to understand and love mathematics, as well as respect science, which is really just the real-world application of mathematics. I have 14 years experience of teaching high school Spanish, as well as a background in Elementary Education. I have taught Spanish IB and AP classes, as well as written curriculum in both SC and TN. Some students are more aggressive and advanced but there are those who are silent and will not speak out about difficulties understanding competencies. I prefer not to embarrass those students but give them the opportunity to learn one-on-one.
