Educated professional - Alternative tutor

I worked in after school progrmas all through college and generally enjoy helping children study. I am very engaging, patient and relate well to any age child or young adult. I am not a proto-typical, traditional "tutor" in that I never studied education in a pedagogical sense, but I am highly educated and always made high grades in every level of school. I may can help where the traditonal teachers/tutors have been unsuccessful. I have no specialized training related to ADD/ADHD other than I have been diagnosed as such since high school. History geek, Arabic student.

I can be formal, especially with younger students, but am accustomed to tutoring my peers in a relatively informal setting.
I graduated with honors with degrees in history and economics from the University of Texas at Austin. I am a recent graduate from Indiana University who has a passion for art, history, and film. I spent most of my college career teaching at IU Outdoor Adventures, Indiana University's outdoor recreation program. There, I gained the skills to instruct on rock climbing and backpacking.
