Speaking is one of my top subjects! I am very experienced in public speaking. I have taken college level classes on public speaking. I have also held many leadership positions which require me to speak to many people in public settings.

I am currently a senior at Indiana Univeristy Kokomo. I will graduate in spring 2013 with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Leadership Studies as well as International Studies/Relations. My college coursework has a focus on psychology but my degree requires me to have a very liberal education, as such, I have taken classes in english, history, sciences, economics, government, and many others. I am a student leader and have been for the past two years. I am currently Student Body President of IU Kokomo and represent over 3,000 students. Past leadership expereices include being psychology club treadurer and president, orientation leader, and student senator. I have supplemented my college education by working on a behavioral/mental health unit. I have also done research with one of IU Kokomo's psychology professors, and am currently a teaching assistant for another psychology professor.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Purdue University's School of Liberal Arts, I have been provided with a well-rounded education consisting of a variety of subjects. My degree is in Psychology, with minors in English and Religious Studies. Since graduating from Purdue in 2004, I have worked in social work, child care, and education. Now I focus on tutoring and freelance writing which both allow me to schedule my own time and explore my personal hobbies.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love to write. As a pastor, professor, and playwright, I have actively been writing for the past ten years. I have written hundreds of sermons, lesson plans, papers and newsletters. I have also written five plays for young adults, one of which was published. I earned a master's degree in Divinity, a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts with a minor in Psychology, and further graduate credit in Communication from Purdue. I prefer to interact with students rather than simply lecture. I try to reduce problems or topics into basic components and address each in turn in an effort to demonstrate critical steps in a process which would complete the task or solve the problem successfully. I have been working in commercial banking for the past two years. Through my every day work experience I deal with a lot of accounting and financial statement analysis and spreading. I also further my education in accounting by taking classes offered at Anderson University.
My teaching style is very casual. I enjoy building a strong relationship with the people I teach to allow them to be comfortable and not feel uneasy to ask questions if they do not understand something.
