I have earned two bachelors degrees, BS in Accounting and BA in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in Reading. I have also earned a Masters in Business Adminstration. I have learned extensived skills on how to reach a struggling student and how to in still confidence back into the learning process. I like keeping kids engaged. Teaching isn't just about making sure a student knows the facts, but also about helping them develop a passion for learning. Explaining information in several different ways helps individuals as well as groups learn to the fullest, and allows the students to think about subjects in several different ways.
I volunteered in high school and college tutoring students to read. In high school I was also a music tutor, and a general tutor. Holding a degree in English and History has taught me a lot about many areas of learning that could be used to teach kids effectively.
