I have a BA in History with a minor in Archaeology, and am a member of two honor societies. As a history major, my fields of expertise include research, critical analysis, and writing. From 2006 to 2009, I tutored writing in all subjects at a local community college. As a tutor, I believe it is my job to facilitate the individual thinking processes and strengths of each student. I am patient, attentive to students' concerns, and comfortable with many different learning styles. I do not lecture, but prefer to ask questions that will allow the students not only to master the material at hand but to apply what they have learned to future problems.
