My comments on tutoring Entrance Exams : I have prepared quite a few of my GED graduates for the Accuplacer test, a placement test used before entering some local colleges, such as Sinclair Community College. If unprepared, a student may have to take as many as three developmental classes in reading, writing, and math. That means they may wind up taking up to nine total, unnecessary courses that drain their financial aid, as well as time, gas, energy, etc...

Individualized/personalized... After each class/session my mind is always going through, "How can I better teach/reach that student?" In addition to my many years of experience teaching a myriad of subjects, I can provide you with additional, tailor-made, book lists, & free websites/APPs (and show you how to access them, if need be)... My current BCI/FBI background checks are on file with the state of Ohio as of 02/14/2012, and my current teaching license is on file and online with the Ohio Dept. of Education.

A Little Bit About Me...

Since 1966, I have been teaching/tutoring students in all levels of mathematics. In 1977, I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Eduation. I consider myself a Mathematics teacher, substitute teacher(60 schools), teacher's aide, tutor, and consultant. It's my whole mentality; I literally can't talk to students without asking about their school, their academics, their mathematics, and their sport. I cultivate a great rapport with students based on those four subjects. I'm also very well read, a History minor, and am straight A's in three language grammars.

I am currently a graduating senior at Wilberforce University. When that day comes, I will have a BS in Biology. This degree has allowed me to gain hands on experience within different fields of study along with enhancing my kowledge of the biological sciences and all that it embodies. Also with Spanish, I have not had the experience of teaching but I have been learning the Spanish language for the last ten years (since the sixth grade). I can read as well as write the language and hold a descent conversation. I have previously worked as a tutor/mentor in this field of study for high school graduates.
