Math Can be Fun!

My teaching style is for the student to be methodical with their work and identify key words. I offer correction but also like to be patient to truly understand which part gives the student a struggle.
I have been tutoring in mathematics from basic elementary math to Calculus I for the last 10 years. Studying engineering showed me how meticulous I had to be with my study habits and I am now able to teach other students these same tips. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy seeing the "Light Bulb" come on when a student grasps a concept. I tend to defer to the students learning style and teach to their need and understanding. I am in my sixth year of teaching in elementary school, and previous to that I taught for 3 years (GED prep, Life Skills, Cognitive Skills) at a prison. Prior to that, I worked as a Social Worker for ten years for the Florida Dept. of Children & Families.
