A Little Bit About Me...

As an Adjunct Professor in Humanities at Prairie State College for the past 5 years, I have acquired a wide variety of teaching skills at the College Level. In addition, since my undergraduate work I have always tutored in various departments, Mathematics calculus and college algebra. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style consists of finding that unique style that will suit each individual student. Growing up, I noticed that it was very hard for certain students to grasp certain concepts because they were not engaged in the teaching method. It is no secret that everyone learns a certain way, and no two ways are ever the same. I believe that my patience, my calm demeanor, and habit of wanting to make learning something fun rather than a job has certainly helped me in my education. I also am a big proponent of having children set goals for themselves. Setting goals makes you work harder without feeling the pressure, and I've learned that once children reach that goal they will just want to go higher.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style involves demonstrating how to understand a problem or perform a task before I ask the student to do so. By facilitating students in such a way, I believe they have a more one-on-one learning experience, as opposed to a strict lecture setting. With guidance and demonstration, I believe it is easier for students to learn without pressure.
