Most of my teaching experience is from one to one tutoring. I have tutored over 20 students and always received compliments regarding my reliability, punctuality, style and patience. I have tutored for students with ages raging from 14 to 25 years old and included algebra, geometry, calculus, physics, etc. I worked as an 8th grade math teacher for a Catholic School as well. I lectured algebra and geometry to 3 different groups of 50 to 55 students.
My one to one teaching style is tailored to adapt to the students learning style. However, my experience shows that keeping the student active during the learning process promotes a better learning. I use Microsoft Excel during my lessons. I create formulas, graphs, etc. and the Excel spreadsheet and ask the student to enter the data so that he/she can see how things change with different entries. My greatest satisfaction is to see how a child can improve and get better result with some help. I love working with children and I am always positive about their great potential. Children need to be able to explore and discover themselves. My students get along easily with me and enjoy learning because of my easy and creative teaching approach.
I have earned a bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering, that gave me a deep understanding in maths, geometry and physics. The intensive English program gave me very strong skills in grammar, writing research papers and essays. My most recent study area is MS in Environmental and Energy management, which allowed to reinforce my knowledge in several areas like climate change, air pollution, water pollution, green buildings.
