A Little Bit About Me...

As a student at Oklahoma State University, I worked with my fellow students during my sophomore, junior, and senior years as a peer tutor. I also worked for the Athletic department as a student-athlete tutor. My degrees are in Accounting and Management, which provided significant coursework in accounting, management, and other areas of business. I have tutored Accounting, Economics, General Business, College Algebra, and other general education areas. I also worked for two years as a professional accountant and am a Certified Public Accountant.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a student at Kansas State University, I am currently enrolled in the Architectural Engineering degree and I am completing my last math class as of now. I believe I would be a great candidate for this position because I have recently taken the three calculus classes and now differential equations. Also, i have an extensive background in different fields of physics which broadens of the everyday use of math as well.
From past experience I have learned that everyone has a specific way of learning and therefore you must accompany to that. I believe that patience is one of the most important qualities any tutor could have. I believe once students realize that everyone needs help in life, whether it be work or school, they will succeed and completely change their view on tutors and their future education.

Since my previous experience has been working with fairly non-traditional students, I would like to find a similar position. I have applied for several positions that have opened up in public schools and other agencies. I would like to see if I could work with younger children and adults and or with special needs students. Another area of interest would be teaching upper level mathematics and science courses in a small town school. Another interest, that I have is to teach developmental mathematics and other skills in college. I am also interested in teaching in a correctional facility as well. My style is relaxed and informal, but effective. School already provides enough structure, and with a relaxed mind, information can be processed more easily. 1 hour sessions multiple times a week is the best way for the information to sink in.
