As the middle child in the family, I was very competitive among my siblings. I was very much driven to achieve goals that I set for myself. I have earned two bachelor degrees, a BA in Theater Art and a BS in Biology, which have enabled me to gain an understanding in various ways areas of science and math. Everyone has the ability to learn but not everyone has the same ability. Most people are visual or tactile learners whereas most teachers, in my experience, use verbal/aural instruction methods. I believe in tailoring my teaching to the needs of the student and not to what I am most relaxed with. I have personally taught several tactile students who had to have something in their hands or they could not grasp the concepts. Other times I've instructed students in strong visual methods incorporating drawings, artwork and short videos.
