I have served as a substitute teacher in Hayward, CA for 1 1/2 years. I worked as a tutor for Learning & Loving It in San Jose, CA for 3 years. I served as a tutor and teacher of adult education in Loganville, GA for 1 year. I am currently on the substitute teacher roster for the Vicksburg School District, and I have been so for two years. I first introduce myself and get to know a little about the student I am tutoring. Then, I establish a baseline of what they have learned so that I can direct my attention to their strengths and weaknesses. At Millsaps, I was a member of Beta Beta Beta which is a biology honor society. As a member, I was responsible for tutoring underclassmen for two years. I spent much of my time at Millsaps coming up with a system of studying and organization which I shared with numerous others.
