I founded and produced a critically acclaimed video review magazine ("Video Eyeball") that began as a free magazine in Massachusetts but eventually grew into a profitable publication with subscribers in the US and Canada. I performed all aspects of design of, production, sales, editing and distribution. Subsequently, I was the art director for the National Fire Protection Association for fourteen years, and served as the in house designer for advertisements, trade shows, web and print design and was the art director of the NFPA journal.

I recently graduated cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with two Bachelors of Science in Marine Geology and Maritime Law. I teach sailing and environmental education in the summers. This means very little however as I aspire, one day, to become a lighthouse keeper. Sadly, few can find such a position these days. I enjoy writing, science, mathematics, literature and most all music.
When I taught sailing to young kids, I used to dress up like a pirate. I have lots of energy. I know I'm doing my job right when kids start laughing.
