I am currently in my first year teaching in Indianapolis. I am a licensed Biology teacher although I have a strong math and science background. I would love to have an opportunity to work with students on a one-on-one basis. I believe that students need guidance and structure in order to reach their highest potential. In the classroom, instruction can only be differentiated so much. Individual tutoring would allow me the chance to really meet a student at their level and understand their learning style.

I really enjoying being able to help students understand chemistry and biochemistry. I believe that being able to give students the individual attention they need, can make all of the difference in helping them understand the difference concepts to be able to apply them. I began college as an engineering major, so I have background in advanced mathematics and physics. I went on to change my major to psychology where I gained knowlege of social and behavioral sciences, as well as research technologies and statistical analysis. Since graduating college with a B.A. in psychology, I have worked as a psychology researcher, accounting assistant, and in 3 different roles for an international pharmaceutical company. Through my job experience, I have gained knowledge in different business disciplines and areas such as Lean/Six Sigma and Supply Chain/Logistics planning. I love teaching all ages and skill levels. I adjust my teaching style to the individual - some people are visual learners or oral learners or hands-on learners.
