I am eager to get back to teaching. I love to work with children and I know it is a gift from above. I use many hands on techniques to help my students learn. I also observe my students to see what technique of teaching reaches them best. I use the method that is needed.
After, graduation I was an Ed Tech III. Assisting in reading and math. From there I went on to teach Kindergarten at Coastal Christian School in Waldoboro. I taught there for 7 years. During that time I tutored many students in math and reading after school hours. I am currently working on the endorsement 020.

As a special educator, I learned to quickly problem-solve if a support strategy is not successful. I've worked with students with all levels of learning challenges (those with and without formal disability labels) and can help each learner become confident in their abilities.I understand how teachers are trained, keep current with research, and know how schools function structurally, which helps me think about where things may break down for the individual learner.
