Desiring to continue to teach, I finished a Master's degree which gave me the endorsements to teach K-12 children with special needs. I have been involved in various aspects of teaching and tutoring for the past 14 years. I have tutored students one-on-one for reading, writing, and math, and have taught private music lessons for voice (since 2005), violin (since 2005), and piano (since 2004). I enjoy teaching individuals of all ages and cultures. I adopt a hands on approach to learning and have extreme patience for slower learners. My main goal during teaching is to help one have a better understanding of the subject by relating to the material. To reach this goal it is imperative that I am resourceful enough to provide my students with vital and accurate information.
During high school I interned in a first grade classroom for one year in which I planmed/taught lessons. I also have young siblings and family members which I help with assignments on a daily basis.
