While a student at Luzerne County Community College, I was recommended to be a tutor by mathematics professor David Wasilewski. I tutored college students primarily in the fundamentals of algebra and English composition. In 2005, I was awarded the Student Support Service Award for tutoring. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from King's College and went on to earn a Juris Doctor. I try to tailor my style to the student. Each student I had tutored when I was in college I had basically spoke with them, got to learn what they strong points were, their weaknesses, and areas that needed more base learning. I tailored lesson plans to help fill in their educational gaps, created small weekly assignments, and also helped with their current homework/lesson plan. I believe everyone learns in different ways. Some are more visual, others are more auditory so I tried to not only explain but also show by using whatever tools necessary/applicable (graphs, pictures, charts, etc.)
