A Little Bit About Me...

I am a college graduate with a Bachelor's in Economic Theory and Theater Production. Currently, I am finishing my Masters in Education. In addition, I have a New Mexico teacher's license and am "highly qualified" by the State in Math. I first began tutoring, especially math, in high school and have continued to do so over the years. I am highly motivated when it comes to teaching. And, am a believer that there is more than one way to learn.
I believe in making subject matter relevant, not to mention interesting. Having different methods of explanation is key. As well as a solid foundation in the material. The background to most common disorders in adults is complex involving multiple genes, thus I used advanced fuzzy latent class analysis to identify high and low risk sets of gene variants and to define the level of risk for individuals. In December 2009, I graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh with a BBA in Economics. While in school, I worked as a Supplemental Instructor for an introduction to business course, formulating and providing lessons to a group of undergraduate students. I also tutored individuals in both business and math. Additionally, I have several years of experience as a private music instructor, teaching lesson for guitar and music theory.
I believe that in order for students to obtain knowledge, they must develop some level of interest in the subject.
