I am a compassionate person who will do whatever it takes to help students succeed. I always encourage my students to ask as many questions as they need to so that they have a firm understanding of the material. I love seeing the growth in the individual student. Students must be challenged, not coddled. Students at all levels need to be pushed to find their limits and then move beyond them. Only then can they achieve real growth. We must use education as a tool to educate the next generation not only for employment but also for citizenship. In so doing, we need to take into account historical precedents and objective reality. Our students need more than simply reading comprehension and basic math skills. One of the chief contributions we can make to our students is teaching critical thinking. Students must be encouraged to think for themselves and not mindlessly parrot stock answers. After reasoned analysis, they must find their own truth.
