My comments on tutoring Testing Skills : As a special education teacher I have taught Testing Skills for the last 13 years.

I nurture my students with their academic and special needs. Teaching is my passion.
I have 22 years experience of working with students ages 6 to 17 in two different countries. I taught elementary for two years in India and 4 years of 6th grade to 10th grade in India. I worked as a Teaching Assistant in California for one year in a middle school in a special education classroom. I got the opportunity to work as a T.A in St.Paul School District for 2 years with special needs students in an elementary school. I worked as an E.A in St.Paul Schools for 4years in an elementary setting. I am teaching in St.Paul Public Schools in a high school settings since 2003.

I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin River Falls with a BS in Marketing Communications. My minor area of study while at River Falls was Psychology, and over the course of my college career, my interest in the topic has developed into a career goal. I plan to return to UW River Falls this Fall to earn a Mater's degree in School Psychology. For the past six years I have taught and coached Swimming and Diving lessons to children ages 4-16. I believe that each child has their own special style of learning in which they succeed the best at. When I tutor students I take the time to get to know each student on an individual basis and as a unique person. I make it a priority to determine their learning style and use that to implement a plan. I try and understand the reason they are having problems in their studies and then execute a plan in which they can succeed. Ten years ago, at just 14, I knew I had a calling to help others reach full potential in all aspects of their lives, and did something about it. At that time, I implemented a scheduled and drop-in tutoring program through my high school counseling center. This allowed my peers to take advantage of my assistance in all subjects.
