Hello! I am currently a Historian for the U.S. Army. I hold a Bachelors degree in history from George Mason University as well as a Masters in history from the same institution. My last degree was completed in 2010. Since then, I have written professional book reviews published in Military Review Magazine and have three lengthy articles on the American Revolution, African American Women in the Military and the American Red Cross being published in 2012! I have taught overseas for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools.
History should be fun, plain and simple! There are so many fascinating facts about the history of our country. History is a story of ourselves and of the generations before us. It needs to be taught as such. Make it interesting and entertaining and students will listen!

American History is one of my top subjects! Able to teach American History, as I am a pending member of two well-known American societies in the mainstream today. My genetic roots go back to the Amer. Revolution under George Washington.

I believe in tutoring so that the child receives feedback and fully understands his/her own limitations and how to overcome obstacles in class. Many children lack positivity in the methodology! I also believe that using art instruction helps children to learn in a more creative manner.
I have over of 30 years of progressive experience in tutoring young children in the elementary years of education in all subject matter areas. My specialty is literacy and reading, but I am also adept in teaching all of the math curricula as well. I also firmly believe that teaching organizational skills and proper research methodologies are very important for the classroom today--and every child needs these skills in order to excel in the classroom and survive. A Little Bit About Me...

I taught in the Wright City RII School District for 26 years, at both high school and middle school level. During that time I taught everything from English and American literature to basic grammar and writing skills. I also taught some reading classes. I have extensive experience in writing research papers and strong skills in grammar and punctuation. I was an assistant principal for two years, and helped develop a reading program for the middle school.
